The Department stores are getting ready for their weekly sales in the Sunday circular and often start their sales on Saturday. If it is not a marked sale item that day stores will usually honor the sale price if you ask them to. For other clothing stores, Thursday evening is the night to shop. The stores are getting ready for their weekend promotional sales and usually start discounted prices on Thursday evening. The shelves would be stocked and have the most selection before the weekend rush.
